My Experience,
Through my experience in the AVL world, I have had a variety of hands on experience in different avenues with hundreds of hours put in to projects, and live productions.
Through Reverb Church (Saint Augustine, FL) I had the pleasure to serve on the production team and media team. My main focus was lighting: Designing, Programming, Rigging, and Operating. Additionally, I was able to take on the video side of things: Camera Operator, Roaming Camera, Steady Cams, Fix-Position Cams. I would also alternate into running switcher for their experiences, this included coordinating cameras/shots, managing screens, live/online visuals, and active comm's communication.
In Theater I have had a wide range of opportunities arise through St. Johns School District (Saint Augustine, FL) Starting at Pacetti Bay Middle School. I began my interest in lighting/AVL, with this spike of interest I took on the role of designing and operating for the theater program, and special events conducted in the auditorium, this also involved rigging and networking systems to intertwine. As I approached high school, new avenues raised. At Saint Augustine High School I partook in the theater, dance, and special events at the school in opportunities to design, rig, and operate for school events/performances. This is also where I started sharing my experience and educating class mates and training them on the process and how to utilize the system/facility. Moving to Tocoi Creek High School, I continued the same level of duties but had implemented Stage Production courses into the school. This involved me leading the class in groups to setup the brand new theater for immediate use. From cutting gels, rigging lights, designing shows/set designs, programming, and operating. I also became free-lanced within the school to support other schools with their productions and projects with my previous middle school a couple other middle schools, and different high schools. I was the set person for events at Tocoi to be paid per rental in our facility to supervise and assist with whatever the event coordinator needed for their production.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with several small companies in St. Johns, Florida. Working with a design company that installs and designs solutions for churches and event centers, a local networked DJ that has several rigs that go to different events, assisting with programming, designing, and implementing solutions.
I have a wide variety in programs/consoles: Chamsys, ETC, myADJ, Strand Lighting, and light MA. Camera wise I have experience with Canon, Nikon, Black Magic, Sony, and RED. Programs I have utilized throughout this time are ProPresenter, BlackMagic Design, ETC Paradigm, and several others throughout. I am a hands on learner and truly enjoy creating environments and atmospheres for people to enjoy and experience.
